Director of Learning + Researcher + Strategic Planning

As a Director of Learning & Research with 15 years’ experience at both Fortune 100 companies and nonprofits, Kristin dedicated to bridging the gap between education and workforce development to foster equity and access for all. With a focus on creating impactful research agendas, developing innovative learning and development programs, and reducing inequities in education and the workforce, Kristin strives to build a strong, diverse 21st-century workforce. Kristin's experience in designing cutting-edge learning and development programs ensures that individuals are equipped with the skills needed for success in today’s dynamic job market. Her focus is on creating programs that are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of diverse populations. Dr. Marcy Crouch, PT, DPT, WCS

 

Founder + CEO + Physical Therapist

Dr. Marcy Crouch is a board-certified women’s health physical therapist and the founder of The Down There Doc, and a driving force in transforming the way companies support women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. Dr. Marcy believes for too long maternal health has been overlooked in corporate wellness and healthcare initiatives. Through strategic partnerships, corporate-exclusive programs, and evidence-based education, Dr. Marcy helps businesses integrate meaningful, effective, and scalable maternal health solutions into their employee benefits, ensuring that women don’t just survive birth and postpartum, but recover, thrive, and return to work stronger. Brandon Brockhouse, MBA, MPA

Brandon is a dynamic leader with over 15 years of experience in staff development, process and productivity improvements, performance management, recruitment, and curriculum design. Key competencies include strategic planning, data analysis, project management, and team leadership. Brandon is recognized for driving efficiency, fostering collaboration, and delivering measurable results. Brandon is a Doctoral Candidate, May 2025, at the University of Illinois. He holds a Master's in Public Administration from the University of San Franciso and a Master's in Business Administration from Ashford University.

J. “Luke” Wood, PhD is the President of California State University, Sacramento (Our Sacramento State). Specialties: Community college researcher with expertise in: student achievement and persistence, leadership development, ethical decision-making, and research designs.

Alana Matthews, Esq.

 

Attorney + Criminal Prosecutor + Professor + Public Advisor 

Alana Mathews served as a Deputy District Attorney in Sacramento County. Alana mentored women on parole while leading the Florin Law Academy in South Sacramento. She was recruited to help start the enforcement unit for the California Energy Commission and later appointed Public Adviser for the agency by Governor Jerry Brown. In this position, Alana launched the agency’s equity initiative to ensure California’s most vulnerable communities were protected under the state’s clean energy policies. Alana expanded on this work as the Chief Consultant for Climate Change for the California Legislature. Alana also joined the Prosecutors Alliance of California (PAC) as the Director of Policy Resources, Training and Membership. She is also an adjunct professor at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. Alana founded the Community Justice Collaborative to empower and educate underserved communities throughout Sacramento by hosting free educational legal clinics. 

Amna Javed

 

Astrologer + Author + Public Schools Director

Amna Javed is a trained Astrologer with the specialty for giving individuals life clarity and guidance. Amna is also an author who focuses her writings on Astrology, Etymology, and Quantum Science. Her coming book is titled "Portrait of the Universe." Amna also works as a Director of Facilities in California Public Schools. She studied Geology at the University of California, Davis, with a focus in Geographical Information Systems (GIS). She also has a Certification in Construction Management from the University of California, Davis.  

Dr. Corrine McIntosh Sako, Psy.D, LMFT

 

Licensed Clinical Psychologist + Mental Health Community Advocate + Adjunct Professor

Born and raised in South Sacramento, Dr. Corrine is a licensed psychologist and a fierce community mental health advocate. She has over 20 years of experience helping people with a range of presenting issues, from situational stressors to severe mental health concerns. Currently, she is serving her 3rd term as Chairperson of the Sacramento County Mental Health Board and she is the Past President of the Sacramento Valley Psychological Association. Dr. Corrine shows up and speaks out on the impact of systemic and structural oppression on mental health at the individual and the collective levels. She is passionate in her work to eliminate mental health disparities, decriminalize mental illness, and transform systems of care so that health equity is experienced by all 

Dr. Eric John Daniels

 

Doctor of Pharmacy + Clinical Pharmacy Manager

Eric received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of the Pacific, where he graduated with honor. He studied Biochemistry at Pacific Union College, where he also graduated with honor. He currently works as a Clinical Pharmacy Manager. Dr. Eric Daniels has extensive experience leading pharmacy teams in various locations, advocating for patient safety, providing comprehensive care including vaccinations, consultations, and effectively managing inventory and operations. He has proven ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and collaborate interprofessionally to optimize healthcare delivery. His work also focuses on providing medication therapy management (MTM) sessions and drug consultations, resolving insurance discrepancies, and administering vaccinations.

Kayla M. Hyatte is the author of several books that cover the topics of mental health distress, self-discovery, and managing anger. In her current position as Director of Public Relations, she leads powerful campaigns to reach target audiences and create an impact through the use of spoken and written words. For many years, Kat has been a public face of organizations that exist to impact the lives of other humans struggling with mental, physical, and developmental health. She possesses exceptional interpersonal skills. Adept at quickly and accurately distilling detailed information into concise formats, Kat is also extremely proficient in research projects of varying scope, and has coordinated a multitude of broad-based, multifaceted projects. Her relations in the local community run deep, the result of frequent high-level interaction with executives across the region and being well connected with the media/non-profit/business sectors. Kat is a natural leader and motivator, and she is also a seasoned interviewer, public speaker, and copywriter. 


Dr. George Woods

  

Neuropsychiatrist + Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Woods is the recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Utah Medical Center. Dr. Woods also received the Historical Prixe from the University of Milan in 2019. He is currently President of the International Academy of Law and Mental Health. From 2017 - 2019, he served as Secretary General to the International Academy of Law and Mental Health during its amalgamation with the Institute of Ethics, Medicine, and Public Health at the Sorbonne, Paris, France. Dr. Woods was appointed to the Governing Board of the Stanford University Medicare Shared Services Program(MSSP) University Health Alliance Accountable Care Organization, LLC. He was appointed to the Stanford Medical Partners Board's Community Directors in 2023. In 2021, Dr. Woods was appointed to the American Psychiatric Association(APA)'s and the Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM)’s SAMHSA Center of Excellence (CoE). He is the Board Chair for the Felton Institute 

Tony Anderson

 

Lobbyist + Executive Director, The ARC of California

Tony is a lobbyist who has spent the majority of his life advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves, the severely disabled and those with severe learning disabilities. He has served as the Senior Executive of the Arc of California and also as a lobbyist fighting for the rights of the disabled community throughout the country.  Tony is from Chicago, where he grew up watching many Americans not getting the care and services they deserve. He moved to Long Beach, California early in his life and continued to watch the underserved and those at risk struggle. As a result of his upbringing, Tony had dedicated his life to advocating for others. Tony has Master's Degree in Organizational Development and completed the Public Administration Executive Leadership Certification program at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. He was also a teaching assistant at Standord University Graduate School of Business while finishing his Master's Degree.

Sharlene Jones, MPA

 

Corporate Security Expert + Law Enforcement Professional + Physical Endurance Trainer

 Sharlene is a leader in security having had a distinguished career in law enforcement, corporate security, and serving as a hostage negotiation team leader. Her career has taken her from the US to challenging threat environments across Europe, Eurasia, and the Middle East. Sharlene has faced some of the most challenging environments that tested her adaptability and strength where she has navigated high-stakes situations with unwavering resolve. However, the environment the environment that has been the most challenging has been within her own body. Sharlene live with the rare condition Exercise Induced Anaphylaxis. A condition which requires her to do the very thing that triggers the condition, to build the resilience to fight it. Her journey with the condition has taught her how to push past limits and fear by cultivating courage through controlled challenges, whether facing unpredictable crises or confronting personal fears. Her journey has taught her that resilience is not just about survival—it's about strategic growth and thriving under pressure. She is a graduate of the University of San Francisco, Georgetown University, and the Cambridge University Advanced Leadership Program, Sharlene embodies both mental and physical fortitude. As a physical endurance expert, she demonstrates her commitment to resilience, making her a compelling speaker on the power of overcoming adversity.

She has been a featured speaker and trainer on the She Explores podcast, Google, TASIS School in England.
